LESS FRICTION. MORE USEFUL CONTENT.

Make catalogue growth easier to manage.

A larger range should create more opportunity. When every launch means chasing missing specifications and updating multiple systems by hand, product information becomes a constraint.

01

Prepare products faster

Give your team a clear route from supplier information to enriched, approved product content. Reduce repeated entry and make missing information easier to identify.

02

Help customers choose

Bring specifications, dimensions, compatibility and product relationships into the storefront. Give buyers the detail they need to compare options and select the right item.

03

Keep channels aligned

Manage core product facts centrally while adapting content for each destination. Reduce conflicting descriptions and inconsistent attributes across your sales channels.

YOUR PIM. CONNECTED TO COMMERCE.

Akeneo and Salsify integrations.

The right connection depends on your catalogue structure, content workflows and destination platforms. OSE helps define the integration around those requirements.

Salsify integration

Connect Salsify to your commerce environment with a clear plan for how content reaches each destination. We help translate channel requirements into workable mappings and update processes.

  • Product content and destination field mapping
  • Channel-specific content requirements
  • Media and product relationship handling
  • Scheduled or event-driven updates where supported

BUILT AROUND YOUR COMMERCE PLATFORM

Connect content without confusing ownership.

We define how your PIM, ERP and commerce platform share data, keeping pricing, inventory and enriched product content under clear ownership.

Plan mappings around product types, attribute sets, configurable products and store-view requirements. Make the catalogue structure part of the integration design from the outset.

Map content to products, variants, collections and metafields as required. Align the connection with Shopify’s data model and the requirements of your theme and apps.

Your wider systems

Choose direct API connections or middleware according to the systems involved. Define update frequency, retries and exception handling so your team can operate the connection after launch.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

PIM integration questions.

Do we need a PIM or a better catalogue workflow?

A PIM is most useful when catalogue complexity, multiple contributors or channel requirements exceed what your current tools can manage efficiently. An assessment may show that better data governance and improvements to your existing commerce platform should come first.

Can we connect an existing Akeneo or Salsify setup?

Yes. The starting point is a review of your existing configuration, data model and current connections. The scope can focus on improving an existing integration rather than replacing the entire product content workflow.

Does a PIM replace our ERP?

The systems serve different purposes. Your ERP may own operational product records, stock and pricing, while the PIM manages enriched customer-facing information. The integration should make those responsibilities explicit.

How long will the integration take?

Timing depends on catalogue complexity, data quality, platform capabilities and the number of systems involved. Discovery establishes the scope and dependencies needed to prepare a realistic delivery plan.

What product information can we synchronise?

The scope can include descriptions, attributes, variants, categories, images and related documents. We confirm which fields each platform supports and which system owns them before implementation.

Can we roll out the integration in stages?

A phased rollout can begin with a product category, channel or storefront, then expand after your team has validated the workflow. We assess catalogue dependencies and platform requirements to define a practical starting point.
